One Gospel. One Church. One Cry.

77 NEIGHBORHOODS PRAYING TOGETHER

God is stirring the hearts of his people in Chicago to pray. Two years ago, we created the Chicago Neighborhood Prayer Guide to pray against the violence in many of our neighborhoods.

In January 2014, Park Community Church opened their doors and much to our delight a thousand people from several dozen churches joined in prayer and worship for all 77 neighborhoods in Chicago. We were encouraged by the diversity and unity of this experience. In the spirit of stewarding what God was doing, New Life Church in Midway hosted a PrayChicago in June 2014. Hundreds came out as we cried out for our families, neighborhoods, churches, and schools. With the blessing of our city leaders we gathered on Daley Plaza in September, and once again a thousand people bent their knees in humble prayer for Chicago in the center of our city.

In 2015, we joined out brothers and sisters in the Southside of Chicago at the House of Hope. Over 2,200 people of all backgrounds and neighborhoods joined together around One Gospel, as One Church, and with One Cry. We had out first outdoor event in Chicago's Westside at Garfield Park in June 2015 and ended the year at the Philadelphia Romanian Church of God in Chicago's Northside to pray into Chicago's diversity.

Today, PrayChicago has taken a life of its own and is support and led by pastors, civil leaders, churches, congregation members, and everyone who cares about the needs of the city. Please join us in praying for the needs of the city. More information found on the PrayChicago website: www.praychicago.us.

"IF my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
